敷地は閑静な住宅街に位置しており、接道条件から敷地南側は駐車場となり、建物は北側に配置するのが自然と考えられました。この住宅は夫婦と子供のための住宅です。正方形平面の1階に住宅機能のほとんどを納め、2階に子供部屋を配置しています。住宅内は間仕切り壁を最小限に抑え、文字通り一つ屋根の下、家族の気配を感じながら生活が営まれます。正方形のプランに切妻の屋根を掛けた、極めてシンプルな構成の建物です。東西方向に掛けられた登り梁により、約10メートルの平面に切妻の屋根を掛けます。天井は高い部分で約7メートルあり、一般的な木造軸組み工法ながら、とても大きな空間を獲得しています。大胆な屋根架構を構成することで、ヒアリングの際クライアントが話してくれた、「大きな切妻屋根の家で暮らしたい」という理想の住まい像に応えています。
Roof House
The house is for a family who planned to settle in a quiet residential area.
On the northern side of the site, locates the building and parking lot on the south side due to the roadway condition. Most of the essential space is located on the first floor, where the children's rooms are located on the second floor. Inside the house, partition walls are kept to a minimum so that the residents can live under one big roof while feeling the presence of other family members. The client requested a big gabled roof to be hung on a 10-meter flat surface with climbing beams in the east and west directions. We have achieved a ceiling height of about 7 meters for a big open up space, even though it is made with timber.
